Hip arthroscopy has largely transitioned to an outpatient procedure.1 Yet, postoperative pain management in many centers continues to reflect an inpatient mindset. We still accept “reasonable” pain levels and “modest” opioid requirements, even though both directly affect discharge efficiency, patient experience, and early mobilization.
